I love eating here. But I usually go to the one at Frank Lloyd Wright. I think I'll stick with that one from now own. My order wasn't right. Now I'm afraid I have to wrong order/somebody else's order. And unfortunately I don't have time to go back to correct it. It wasn't bad it was still good always is but just bummed on my order

Went to Pei Wei in the Gainey Village shopping center. Ordered the Vietnamese lettuce wraps. Awful!! No flavor. The mint leaves were brown. Chicken barely cooked.
Went up to mention that I didn't like them. Response I got was, "that's how we make them." No offer to exchange them out for something else. I ordered their Chinese chicken salad. Tired looking lettuce. Chicken also was not cooked properly. Very unappealing. What happened??? Your food used to be great! -

First time at a Pei Wei in years. Arrived at 11:45 on a Thursday morning and there were six in line and a half full restaurant.
I ordered small Orange Peel Chicken and a small drink for $9.91. A bit steep for a quick Chinese lunch.
It arrived in nine mins. There was a good amount of food in the bowl, but the rice placated 2/3 of the dish.
The chicken was cooked properly and the veggies were crisp but the rice was a bit stale. I felt it was cooked several hours ago.
Perhaps it was traditional but the orange peels were 1 1/2" long and therefore very distracting (bitter) to eat. Perhaps orange zest would've been more palatable.
The service was good, if a bit limited. I got my food from a pleasant young man and then had my plate cleared by another.
Not my go-to Chinese cuisine.
Return visit, several months later. They added General's Chicken, my fave Chinese dish. I added a large drink for $7.98. Thank you Pei Wei!
My lunch arrived in six mins, cuz I was the second customer after opening.
The rice was still dry. It must be the first thing they prepare?
I dislike bell pepper but usually pick them out. With this dish, they're diced finely, so no hope of getting them all. My fault tho, so it didn't affect my stars. It also arrived with shredded carrots and scallions and dried chilies.
The chicken was plump, tender, plentiful and cooked well. It wasn't breaded however, probably for ease of cooking. After tasting , I prefer breaded
The soft drink machine was out of my first two choices tho. Sad, since I was the second customer.
I will give it another go someday perhaps.
Tried the General's Chicken again, with better results. Arrived 11:15 on a Thursday and there were already eight parties being served.
The chicken, which was good last time, was even better. It was saucier, which helped the dry rice, and it was spicier.
The service was very flat today: the cashier was just 'doing his job' without much personality and the server? She dropped my plate without a smile, greeting or response to my "Thank you so much."
I don't require a smile for four stars but I know management was expecting more from the staff. -

I tried the cauliflower fried rice and it was okay. It needed a sauce desperately. The portions are huge and easily shareable. This is not a good place for people with allergies though. I got gluten free and rice free and still had an allergic reaction... not sure what that was about. The only reason we went was to use a gift card so we won't be back.

Went there for some take out. The pickup counter was crowded with people and food awaiting to be bagged. Clearly they were short handed and staff seemed crabby. Had to wait to give my order as they were going crazy answering calls and getting the pickups ready. Cmon, hire another staff person!
We ordered the Ginger Broccoli chicken bowl. Got our food about 15 min later. The food was somewhat tasteless and the chicken was over cooked. What a shame as I enjoyed their food in the past. I was really disappointed with the meal. One piece of chicken was about 4" in length. Sorry this will be our last visit. There is a parking lot.
